More proof that the Central Ohio housing market is rock solid. Financial site SmartAsset has release a study about the healthiest housing markets in Ohio and the Columbus area dominates the list. Statewide, Greenville, northwest of Dayton, is No. 1. Locally, Heath (No. 2), Johnstown (No. 3), Pataskala (No. 4), Newark (No. 5), Pickerington (No. 7) and Hilliard (No. 9) are among the top 10. The ranking factors in things like the average number of years residents spend in homes, home values, ease of sale and the costs associated with ownership. As we've reported, Central Ohio's housing market has been on fire recently with its distressed housing stock shrinking and home prices at record levels over the summer.
